Thank you for taking HOVE’s Social Good Poll!
In Good Company: a poll of our peer’s social good intent.
And we were floored with the results. It matched better than what all the big studies showed. And as I thought, I am in amazing company! MANY, MANY THANKS for telling us what makes a difference to you!
Social Good intent: This is what you told us!
- 83% of you purchase products, services, or travel online between 1-5 times/week.
- 96% of you are willing or considering spending more money if part of the money went to a social good.
- A whopping 85% of you gave a high to very high likelihood of purchasing from a socially responsible company for a similar product.
- 97% of you know of at least 1 socially responsible company; 51% of you know at least 5 socially responsible companies.
Why is this important?
You showed us what we believe: people are well-meaning, and given the right tools and actions would make changes to improve our collective health, social condition and environment. But, we get it, life can be complicated and sometimes, it’s hard to just get in the car and buy a much needed light bulb. That’s what HOVE is about. Our goal is to make it easier for all of us to act– so we can choose the option that’s good for us and our communities.
Why I Believe in the Good of People
I remember when I had to raise $2500 for Susan G. Komen’s 3 Day Walk. I had never raised any money like that, and was nervous as heck. But, a good friend told me to trust the good in my peers. And am I glad I did. The 3 day experience was amazing, but more than anything, I could never forget the impressed friends that pulled through for me. I raised $2500 in about 2 weeks! I trust my peers (that’s you) and just like then, I believe together we can create the positive impacts needed for our communities and planet.
